Objectives of this Course

  • To provide a comprehensive understanding of effective management of organizations from a Christian perspective.
  • To equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the functions of management effectively.
  • To enable learners to develop and implement strategies, manage execution, and lead teams while adhering to governance principles and practices.

Who is this course for?

If you are a leader / staff of an NGO, this course will equip you to manage your organisation’s needs more efficiently and effectively.

Duration of the Course

      • The course will have an orientation session (on 14 August 2024)
    • The regular sessions will be held once a week (every Monday), starting from 19 August 2023, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM via Zoom.
    • There will also be a session for ‘Presentations by the students’ towards the end of the course.
    • Admission to the course will be granted on a first-come-first-serve basis only.

Course Requirements & Evaluation

  1. Quizzes (30 marks)
    Multiple Choice Questions that should be completed soon after the completion of each of the 10 chapters.
  2. Chapter Summary (50 marks) *
    A summary (400 – 500 words) of each chapter must be submitted by the participant, in their own words. This will help the learner have a better and clearer understanding of the topic.
  3. Application Oriented Questions (50 marks) *
    Practical questions for each chapter, that is to be answered in 250 – 300 words. This will help the participants to know how to practically apply what they have learnt.
  4. Group task (20 marks)
    Participants will be divided into groups and will be given a particular scenario. The group will work together to understand the scenario and all it’s implications, discuss and decide on how to deal with the scenario based on their learnings, and finally present their discussions and decisions to the faculty and class.
  5. Course paper (30 marks) *
    Towards the end of the course, each learner will be required to write a ‘Course Paper’ (in 2500 – 3000 words) on any one of the topics that would be given to them. The learner is expected to research the topic, and submit their findings according to a template that will be provided.
  6. Attendance (20 marks)
    The sessions conducted during the physical workshop are compulsory and must be attended by all the learners. The attendance of the online sessions will be included in the calculation of the total marks of the learners.

CIM would award the certificate on successful completion of all the requirements of the course.
