To equip faculty members of theological colleges teach management courses

Objective

The primary purpose of the programme is to equip the faculty members of theological institutions for teaching Christian Management in theological institutions. The course will also equip the participants to effectively handle their managerial responsibilities.

Eligibility

Faculty members of theological institutions, Bible colleges, missionary training institutes can apply for the programme. The basic educational qualification to join the course is M.Th and its equivalent degrees from recognized institutions.

Mode of Delivery

Duration:
The programme is divided into:
  1. Two 4-Month Courses
  2. Five 1-Month Courses
Thus, the total time required for the completion of the programme is one year. Two months grace period will be given for the completion of the course requirements.

Learning Materials:

The courses have exclusive self-learning study materials which are Bible based, use conversational language, and have case studies, exercises etc. to understand the subject in depth. These courses will have video lectures, PPTs and discussion forums.

Hybrid Mode (Online & Offline):

The programme will include both residential workshops and online classes, with assignments.
For the online platform, accounts will be created for the learners and they will be added to the respective courses. The details and credentials for accessing the online platform will be provided after the orientation.

Courses

The PG Diploma programme consists of two 4-month courses (8 credits each) and five 1-month courses (3 credits each). Each of the courses is presented from biblical perspectives and addresses practical issues the ministers face.

1-Month Courses (3 credits each)
  1. Biblical Understanding of Management
  2. Laws as applicable to Churches & NGOs
  3. Resource Mobilisation
  4. Project Management
  5. Human Resource Management

Faculty

The resource persons are national level experts in the specified areas with academic qualifications and practical experience.

Assignments & Weightage of Course Requirements

4-Month Courses
Quizzes
  1. The Quizzes will be hosted on the Moodle Platform
  2. Quizzes during the workshop will also be hosted on the Moodle Platform.
    • These quizzes during the workshop will be open at a set time, and automatically closed at a set time, so that the students can do the quizzes together.
    • There will be two Quiz sessions during the workshop (on the 2nd and 3rd day respectively).
    • A Quiz session will include MCQs from the chapters covered during the previous day.
  3. There will be Six MCQs per chapter.
Chapter Summaries
  • The learner must use his/her own words (approx. 400 words) to write down what he/she has learnt from the respective chapter.
Application Oriented Questions
  • The learner must answer an Application Oriented Question given for each of the chapters, in approx. 250 words.
Group Task
  • Learners will be divided into groups and assigned a task per group.
  • The tasks prepared by the groups need to be submitted and presented during the ‘Presentation Session’, which will be held on Zoom.
Course Paper
  • The learner must submit a paper of approx. 2,500 words on ANY ONE of the given topics.
  • Along with the learnings gathered during the course, the learner is required to also research further on the topic and frame their final paper.
  • Proper reference citation is to be followed.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. If a learner is found to have plagiarised any of their answers, he/she will disqualified from the course.
1-Month Courses
  1. Online Quizzes (40%)
To be conducted at the end of each unit (weekly basis)
  1. Assignment Questions (40%)
One question from each unit to be answered in 250 words (40% of total marks).
  1. Presentation (10%)
At the end of the course, learners are required to make a 7-minute presentation on a topic of their choice related to the subject.
  1. Timely submission of assignments (10%)

Certification

– The candidates need to have satisfactory performance in each course to be eligible for the certificate.
– CIM will award the certificate on successful completion of the programme requirements.
– It is also possible to get the certificate from Martin Luther Christian University at an additional cost.
